Objective
The objective of this project was to create an accurate digital archive of load-bearing steel structures (columns and beams) for a large industrial facility. The three-dimensional models were required by the client for subsequent integration into modern CAD and BIM systems, performing structural strength calculations using the finite element method (FEM), and planning future reconstruction and modernization work.
Source Data
The source data for the project consisted of a technical archive in the form of scanned copies of Soviet-era working drawings. Working under these conditions required not only 3D modeling skills but also engineering competence to correctly interpret the documentation.
Result
As a result of the work, a complete set of production 3D models was created, accurately replicating the geometry and composition of the steel structures specified in the drawings.
Software used: Autodesk Inventor
