Objective
As part of a team project, the primary objective was to create a photorealistic image of a scrubber unit for the marketing catalog of a mechanical engineering company. Our team was tasked with transforming outdated technical documentation into a modern visual asset that would clearly demonstrate the scale, design, and quality of the manufactured equipment.
Source Data and Challenges
The main challenge of the project was the complete absence of existing 3D models from the client. The work was carried out exclusively based on design documentation provided as scanned assembly drawings, many of which were of poor quality. Often blurred or illegible lines, as well as the absence of detail drawings, required not just modeling skills but full-scale engineering interpretation to recreate the accurate geometry.
Result
Through coordinated teamwork, a highly detailed solid-body 3D assembly was created, along with photorealistic images derived from it.
Software used: KOMPAS-3D v15, Autodesk Inventor
